How to download your certificate of attendance
If you purchased a certificate of attendance it will be available to download, with instructions on November 23, 2020. Need a certificate of attendance but forgot to order one before the conference? Just call the AFCC office at 608-664-3750 to purchase a certificate now. The price is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
Psychologists: AFCC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. AFCC maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The program is eligible for up to 22.5 hours of continuing education for psychologists. All sessions are eligible except for Workshop 6 and 16.
Mental Health Professionals: This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (Approval # 886478123-2755) for 22.5 continuing education contact hours. Workshops 7 and 13 are ineligible for credit. Please be aware that the following states do not accept National CE Approval Programs: Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and West Virginia. Social workers should verify approval with their credentialing or licensing boards. If you are a LMFT, LPC, or other mental health professional, you may use the AFCC Certificate of Attendance to verify attendance at conference sessions and apply for continuing education credits with your accrediting institution.
California Custody Evaluators and Mediators: The courses outlined in the agenda have been approved as corresponding to subject areas specific in California Rules of Court, rules 5.210, 5.225, 5.518, and 5.215/5.230, as follows: 22.5 hours of 5.210 Child Custody Mediator Continuing Education and Supervisors Training; 22.5 hours of 5.225 Child Custody Evaluator Training and Continuing Education; 22.5 hours of 5.518 Juvenile Dependency Mediator Training and Continuing Education; 12.0 hours of 5.215/5.230 Domestic Violence Training and Continuing Education. Massachusetts Parenting Coordinators: The Probate and Family Court has approved our application for Category V – Parenting Coordination Training Accreditation as follows. These sessions have been approved to meet the CEU requirements for new and renewing Parenting Coordinators who wish to have their name included on the Court’s Category V Parenting Coordination fee-generating appointment list. Workshops 1, 9, 12, 13, and 19 are each credited with 1.5 hours of training. Pre-Symposium Institute 1 is credited with 4.5 hours of training. All Category V applicants need to provide a certificate of attendance, which can be obtained from AFCC, to submit with their application and other required paperwork to the Probate and Family Court.
Lawyers:
Arkansas: The Supreme Court of Arkansas has approved 22.5 hours of general credits for continuing legal education (Program # FAM37412). Attorneys wishing to receive credit for this course must complete the Uniform Certificate of Attendance Form. All forms must be received at the AFCC office by Wednesday, November 25, 2020. California: The State Bar of California has approved 22.5 hours of general credits for continuing legal education. Workshops 7 and 13 are ineligible for hours. The approval period ends November 8, 2022.
Minnesota: The Minnesota Board of Continuing Legal Education has approved 18.0 hours of standard credits for the Symposium (Event Code 328430) and 4.5 hours of standard credits for the Pre-Symposium Institutes (Event Code 330453). Attorneys wishing to receive credit for this course must report their attendance in the OASIS portal at www.cle.mn.gov.
Vermont: The Vermont Judiciary has approved 21.0 hours of general credits and 1.5 hours of diversity and inclusion credits for continuing legal education. Attorneys should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Approval is granted for this particular course only.
The Virginia State Bar has approved 19.5 credit hours for mandatory continuing legal education including (0.0) credit hours for Ethics. The opening plenary, the plenary, and workshops 7, 11, 13, 17, and 19 are ineligible for hours. Virginia attorneys may certify their attendance online at the Virginia State Bar website (www.vsb.org). An application has been submitted for MCLE to the State Bar of California for up to 22.5 hours. Updates on the status of the application will be available here. Workshops 7 and 13 will be ineligible for hours.
Attorneys may also use the AFCC Certificate of Attendance to verify attendance and apply for credit in their state.
